Now, Let’s learn about Autism Plus Reiki.
Reiki is an ancient form of Japanese energy work that uses the universal “life force energy” called reiki. The Reiki practitioner allows the universal life force energy to flow through them and onto the person ready to receive the energy. It is powerful, gentle, and noninvasive as Reiki can assist the body to return to balance and to promote wellness.
Reiki has been found to be very beneficial in assisting individuals on the autism spectrum in letting go of anxiety and stress, feeling a calming effect and allowing deep relaxation and peace. As a side benefit, Reiki has shown to improve sleep, increase communication, improving concentration and well being.
This universal life force energy or reiki can be easily taught to parents and caregivers. I’ve even shown my own child who is on the autism spectrum how to use Reiki on himself. You don’t need any special equipment and reiki can be used anywhere.
